RE: Prodigy - Intermittant Overload Message

Sounds like the Prodigy is warning you. However, the very first edition Prodigy's would send an error message due to Dodge air grid heater cycling.

Did you check the actual build date? I'm not talking about the purchase date.

RE: 02/06 Dodge 2500 4x4 owners and ball joints

There are multiple places to buy parts for these trucks. I read somewhere awhile ago it was possible to buy the unit bearing direct from the bearing manufacture. http://www.quad4x4.com/ http://www.thecarlisuspension.com/blog/2008/09/lower-ball-joints-on-radar.html From TDR: http://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/3rd-generation-ram-forum-no-engine-transmission-discussions/201514-front-unitized-hub-bearing-help.html "So SKF is just a bearing manufacturer. As such, anyone who has an account with them can buy anything from their product line. A quick search on their website came up with part number BR930502. With that in hand, I did a Google search on "SKF dealers" and came up with a lot of hits. I submitted quotation requests to about half-a-dozen of them. Of those, only 3 or 4 were able to locate the part number. Of those, the two lowest cost dealers were Dalton Bearing, Inc. and E.B. Atmus. I ended up going with E.B. Atmus, who had great customer service. The price? $168.74 plus shipping. I ordered up 2 of them which came drop-shipped from SKF's warehouse in Hebron, KY. Shipping cost me $10. So for a grand total of $347.48 I have 2 brand new OEM front hub/bearing assemblies. "

RE: G Load Rating tires for Silverado 2500HD?

G rated tires will fit with 19.5" rims. Check out Vision 81 or Rickson wheels.

RE: Spare tire 19.5

Can't directly answer your question. I have an 06' Dodge w/Super Hitch and 265's in 19.5". Had to completely deflate the tire to make it fit. Pacbrake onboard air allows inflation in case of emergency.

RE: Seattle to Moab

Check out the Flying J website. The only shortages are in direct Hurricane areas. Have Fun at Moab. We're heading there next May. Flying J http://www.flyingj.com/flyingjPortalWebProject/appmanager/flyingj/home?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=flyingjPortal_portal_page_60

RE: dodge diesels

Probably not the cat. It's the DPF. Diesel Particulate Filter. Thank the Federal Government. The Big 3 all run the DPF. Could be a vehicle software issue. Also, becomes a problem if the wrong fuel or wrong motor oil is used (CJ 4).

RE: New truck

Dodge recommends new trucks go at least 500miles. This is to break in the ring and pinion in the axle.

RE: Tow vehicles

The older Ford 7.3l diesel's aren't bad. They require consistent and timely oil changes. The injectors are oil fired. Avoid the Ford 6.0 diesel at all costs.

RE: 2007/2008 S&S camper ?'s

Friends have an 07' S&S. It's either the 8.5 or 9.5. They have onboard generator. They're extremely happy with the camper. I wanted the S&S. Wife wanted something with a slide. Friends camper also have LED on all outside lights.

I'm not a gambler. We enjoyed our stay at 7Feathers Casino RV Resort last week. Facilities were very clean. Food was great.

RE: Change oil at 3K miles or by veh. computer ? Revised page 7

Avoid Fram. They're not built to meet or exceed OEM spec. I missed the type of vehicle that started this thread. I think the Cummins 07.5'+ trucks have a sensor in the oil that checks for fuel dilution.

At the time the Lance 830 was on the horizon. We went a different direction. Your 830 looks great.

RE: Need help understanding mfg specs

As a side note. When/if you start to feel trailer sway, back out of the gas gently. Manually apply electric brake controller. This should force the trailer to track straight behind the tow vehicle. This means the electric brake controller needs to be available in an emergency and not in a difficult place. Personally, I thought your rig would be capable of towing a 19' TT. What's the difference between your rig vs. one with a tow package? Also, it's not necessary to run full tank of potable water.

RE: Dodge vs. GMC vs Ford 3500

SRW vs DRW is all about tire capacity. There are other minor differences. By far the biggest is weight carrying ability.
